Privacy Policy

Iskra Worlds (“Iskra Worlds”, “we”, “us”) makes a personalized audio-story service for children — an app and a website (iskraworlds.com and app.iskraworlds.com) — that is set up and managed entirely by a parent or guardian. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written for the grown-up who manages the account.
Who we are
Iskra Worlds is operated by Blazefield Labs, based in North Macedonia. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at support@iskraworlds.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to set up your account and generate your child’s stories:
- Account details - your email address (or the Apple or Google account you use to sign in) and your chosen interface language.
- The cast you create - your child’s first name, age, and pronoun; the first names and family roles of the people you add (and light extras, such as a pet’s species); the companion you pick and the name you give it; the worlds you choose; and your story settings, such as the release schedule and the language stories are told in.
- Generated stories - the text and audio of the personalized episodes we create for your child.
- Purchases and subscription status - whether you have an active subscription, and a record of any story pack you buy on our website (which pack, its price and currency, and the order status). In-app subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; website purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Notifications - a device token so we can let you know when a new story is ready, if you’ve enabled notifications.
- Usage and diagnostics - analytics about how the app and website are used (such as app opens, sessions, and which setup steps are completed) and crash or error reports, so we can keep the service working and improve it. We do not record your screen.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and deliver the personalized stories your child listens to.
- Operate, secure, and support the service - signing you in, saving your setup, and delivering audio.
- Send the notifications you’ve turned on, such as when a new story is ready.
- Manage your purchases and subscription and what your account can access.
- Understand and improve how the app and website work, and diagnose problems, using analytics.
- Only with your consent on our website: measure how our ads perform (see “Cookies and advertising on our website”).
The details you add about your family
The names and details you enter about your child and family are used only to generate your stories and to operate the service. They are never used for advertising and are never sold. You provide this information as the parent or guardian, and you can review, change, or remove it at any time in the app’s settings.
How stories are generated
To turn your setup into a finished episode, the relevant story details (such as your cast and chosen world) are sent to trusted AI providers that generate the written story and synthesize the narrated voice. These providers process the information only to perform that task for us.
Service providers we share data with
We share information only with providers that help us run the service, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase - secure database, account sign-in, and audio storage.
- OpenAI - generating the written story.
- Google (Gemini) - synthesizing the narrated voice.
- RevenueCat - managing your subscription status.
- Apple App Store and Google Play - processing in-app payments and, if you choose, sign-in.
- Polar - our merchant of record for story packs bought on our website; Polar handles the payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Expo - delivering push notifications.
- PostHog - product analytics and error reporting, hosted in the EU.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) - advertising measurement on our website, only if you consent (see “Cookies and advertising on our website”).
No advertising, no data sales
We do not show third-party advertising inside Iskra Worlds, and we never sell your personal data. The details you add about your family are never used for advertising.
We do advertise Iskra Worlds itself on other platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook, and - only with your consent - measure how those ads perform on our website (see the next section). Apart from that, our providers may only use the information we share to perform services for us - not for their own purposes. Polar and Meta handle the data they receive under their own privacy policies.
Cookies and advertising on our website
Our website uses a small amount of storage in your browser just to work: keeping you signed in, saving your setup progress, and remembering your cookie choice. This is essential and involves no advertising. Our own analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) runs on our domain only and does not follow you across other websites.
If you tap Accept on our cookie banner, we also load the Meta pixel - a small script from Meta (Facebook/Instagram). It sets cookies (such as “_fbp” and “_fbc”) and tells Meta which steps you take on our site (for example viewing a page, choosing a story pack, or reaching checkout) so we can measure and improve our ads. If you complete a purchase, we may also confirm it to Meta from our servers, using a hashed (unreadable) version of your email address, so the purchase can be matched to the ad that led to it. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.
If you decline, none of this happens and the site works exactly the same. Your answer is stored in your browser; to change it later, clear this site’s browsing data (you’ll be asked again) or contact us at support@iskraworlds.com. The pixel is never loaded on shared-story pages.
Sharing stories with a link
A story pack bought on our website comes with a private share link, so family and friends can listen in their browser without creating an account. Anyone who has the link can play those episodes and will see your child’s first name and the story titles - so treat it like a private photo-album link and share it only with people you trust. Listeners don’t need an account, and we don’t build profiles of them. If a link ends up somewhere you didn’t intend, contact us at support@iskraworlds.com and we will disable it.
Children’s privacy
Iskra Worlds is a family product designed to be set up and controlled by a parent or guardian, who provides any information about their child. Children do not create accounts, enter their own information, or make purchases in the app or on our website. We do not direct advertising to children and do not use any information for behavioral advertising. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without a parent’s or guardian’s involvement, contact us at support@iskraworlds.com and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep your account information and the stories we’ve made for as long as your account is active, so your child can keep re-listening to them. When you delete specific data or your whole account, we remove it from our active systems, and it is cleared from routine backups over time.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, or delete the information in your account at any time from the app’s settings, including your child’s details and your cast. You can also delete your account, which removes your personal information and the generated stories. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights - such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or objecting to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@iskraworlds.com.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information: data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and your child’s audio is stored privately and served through temporary, expiring links. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
International data transfers
Some of our providers process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app.
